Geespace builds and operates a low-orbit constellation for connecting things on the ground, cars first. Sixty-four satellites went up in six launches between June 2022 and September 2025, built in the company's own factory at Taizhou, finished in 2021, and the network covers everything but the poles. The user terminals come from the automotive side of the group, and the services on offer run from construction machinery and fishing fleets to logistics and connected vehicles.

Geely, the private carmaker, founded it in Hangzhou in 2018. That parentage sets it apart from China's two national megaconstellations, Guowang and Qianfan, which are state projects; Geespace answers to a company that wants its cars connected wherever there is no cell tower. On 20 August 2026 the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved a two-year commercial trial of its connectivity service inside China, part of a national target of ten million satellite-connected users by 2030.

Corporate ownership cuts both ways. The valuation reported in August 2026, about ¥30 billion, and a second-generation plan for up to 6,012 satellites both depend on Geely continuing to fund a business whose paying customers so far are in maritime, energy, logistics and emergency communications.
